We are seeking a National Account Director with deep expertise in Facilities Management (FM) to drive growth and deliver exceptional service across our existing client portfolio. This role is pivotal in prospecting within current accounts, engaging stakeholders through consultative conversations, and uncovering opportunities to extend services across Soft and Hard FM portfolios.

You will work closely with Business Development teams to ensure strategic profiling of FM portfolios, proactively identifying opportunities to transition clients toward Total Facilities Management (TFM) solutions. Your ability to combine commercial acumen with technical FM knowledge will unlock new market segments and strengthen our position as a trusted partner in the FM sector.

Job Description

What you'll be doing:

  • Account Prospecting & Growth
    • Proactively identify and develop opportunities within existing client accounts.
    • Use probing, consultative questioning to uncover client needs across multiple FM portfolios.
    • Collaborate with Business Development teams to ensure accurate profiling and targeting of FM opportunities.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management
    • Act as the senior point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Lead strategic reviews and align service delivery with client objectives and KPIs.
    • Position TFM solutions as a value-add proposition for clients.
  • Operational & Technical Expertise
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Soft FM (cleaning, catering, front-of-house) and Hard FM (mechanical, electrical, building maintenance) services.
    • Leverage technical understanding to identify gaps and opportunities for integrated solutions.
  • Manage P&L for accounts, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Drive contract renewals, tenders, and upsell initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with clients sales teams to achieve BID success, in true partnership.
  • Work cross-functionally with FM, security, and maintenance teams to deliver seamless solutions.
  • Support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in senior account management or director-level role within FM or related sectors.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with ability to uncover client needs and influence decisions.
  • Deep understanding of Soft and Hard FM services and their integration into TFM solutions.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing large, multi-site accounts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Recognised management or business qualification.
