Overview
We are seeking two Receptionists in our Mallard House centre in Milton Keynes. This is a permanent and Full‑time position. This role supports and assists the Registered Manager and staff members to deliver quality care in line with PJ Care policies and procedures, to all residents. - Ensure that all visitors and callers’ first impressions of PJ are excellent.
- Maintain front‑of‑house presentation standards.
- Provide assistance to visitors and staff.
- Provide administrative support to staff based at Mallard House.
- Deal with enquiries in a way that promotes the goodwill of PJ Care Ltd.
- Answer all incoming telephone calls, transfer them to the correct person, take messages when the person is unavailable, and email messages at the earliest opportunity.
- Receive visitors and residents, ensure they sign into the building appropriately and notify staff expecting them.
- Distribute incoming internal and external mail throughout Mallard House.
- Liaise with Support Services to ensure all maintenance and transport requests are fulfilled.
- Provide general administration support for all staff at Mallard House as and when required.
- Liaise effectively with the other Receptionists to ensure continuity of Reception Service throughout the day.
- Maintain a 'Clear Desk' policy, secure doors and lock the PC whenever Reception is left unattended to ensure confidentiality, security and compliance with the Data Protection Act.
- Act as Incident Controller.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as may be requested.
- Work 40 hours per week on a rota pattern Monday to Sunday between 8 am and 8 pm.
- Customer Service/Receptionist experience.
- Clear and accurate telephone manner.
- I.T. literate.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
