Management Accountant

We are looking for someone who is working towards their ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualifications and wants to grow their accounting career in a supportive, development-focused environment. As a Management Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in producing timely, accurate management accounts and financial information, helping guide key business decisions across the organisation.

Working closely with the Management Accounting team, you’ll ensure high-quality data is prepared and submitted to the Financial Controller and Financial Reporting Manager, while also building strong partnerships across IT, Customer Service, and Platform Account Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain voucher and platform MI and KPI data to support supplier and discount decisions.
• Prepare accounting information for the Pay and Reward segment.
• Perform month-end insurance reporting and reconciliations.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and post month-end journals accurately and on time.
• Manage the e-voucher back-office reconciliation process.
• Act as a key business partner to IT, Customer Service, and Platform Account Management teams.
• Manage external supplier relationships to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Prepare management accounts for platform and voucher activities.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for e-vouchers and the HAPI platform.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns with detailed analysis.
• Prepare Corporation Tax calculations for half-year and year-end reporting.
• Complete the annual PSA return.
• Support the Financial Controller with year-end audits and statutory reporting.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• Currently studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Previous accounting experience, including reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Experience with Sage 200 is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.
• Strong customer focus, with a genuine desire to understand needs and deliver effective solutions.
