About the Audit Industry & Services team

The Industry & Services team provides audit services to companies of all sizes, including FTSE 350 firms, large corporates, and private enterprises across manufacturing, transport, energy, utilities, media, retail, professional services, and technology. Recent UK government audit reform has created huge opportunities, and we continue to win significant new business across large and listed companies, including major international corporations.

About the role

As an apprentice, you will experience a four‑year training contract:

  • Years 1 and 2:
    Master the art of auditing
    – learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies, including:
    • Financial statements – develop a deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
    • Work side by side with clients – be immersed in the business world by working directly with a variety of diverse companies, understanding their operations and challenges.
    • Build relationships – connect with key stakeholders both within our clients and internally across service lines, gathering relevant information and building strong professional relationships.

Years 3 and 4 – you will take on increasingly complex audit work such as revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You will also take ownership of audit engagements, lead delivery, and mentor junior team members. Upon completion, you will join us as a permanent employee, where the 3‑year term is just the beginning of your career journey at Forvis Mazars.

  • On track or obtained A‑level, BTEC or equivalent qualifications. Strong academic performance is important; we evaluate your whole self, including other growth experiences.
