BRIXCO Construction, Inc. is hiring a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to support our growing fleet of trucks and construction equipment across the Bay Area. In this vital role, you'll diagnose, service, and repair a diverse lineup of vehicles and heavy machinery, ensuring our crews and projects operate smoothly and safely. This is a hands‑on position where your mechanical expertise directly contributes to our project success and company growth.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to reduce downtime
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Dismantle, overhaul, and reassemble equipment and machinery as needed
• Use computer‑based diagnostic tools and software to maintain accurate service records
• Manage parts orders, tracking, and inventory for repairs
• Provide input on maintenance schedules and equipment improvements
• Assist in mobilization/setup of equipment for job sites as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard
• Transport parts and materials between suppliers, the shop, and job sites

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on mechanic experience with heavy equipment or commercial trucks (5+ years preferred)
• In‑depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics
• Ability to operate forklifts and construction equipment
• Proficient with diagnostic software and basic computer applications
• Valid Class C driver's license (CDL preferred)
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors or on active job sites
• Strong time‑management, organization, and independent decision‑making skills
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

  Bay Area-wide travel to local job sites and suppliers
