Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job SummaryResponsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely delivery of the Company’s line of services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. Provided a company van and tools, travels to a variety of customer sites to maintain commercial properties, performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds, and conducts “face‑to‑face” relationships with customers in service of the client’s requirements.
Utilizes multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems.
- Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements.
- Performs minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g., unclog toilets and drains, repair leaks, replace fixtures as needed).
- Performs routine painting, carpentry work, etc., to maintain client facilities in like‑new condition.
- Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g., repair or replace fixtures, wall switches, outlets).
- Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
- Fully utilizes technology (tablet, smartphone) to access and complete work orders, submit Service Reports, quality inspection images, timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs.
- Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
- Creates a positive climate with the client, provides and generates customer satisfaction, and maintains timely communication with customers and internal support teams.
- Obtains and completes EFS required safety and compliance training and attends weekly safety meetings.
- Provides estimates for larger projects and services needed onsite.
- Completes other duties as assigned or required.
- HS diploma or degree/certification, or equivalent professional experience in landscaping, trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.), or specialty floor care, preferred.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of general maintenance experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities described.
- Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
