What This Position Is All AboutUnder the direction of the Store Director, the Assistant Store Director of Customer Experience will support the execution of front‑of‑house priorities within the 4 walls. Responsibilities include maintaining selling‑floor service and merchandising standards, coaching direct associate reports, and ensuring key performance indicators are achieved while serving as a strong brand ambassador.
Primary Job Functions- Schedule cashiering team to maximize coverage and manage customer line urgency.
- Lead line greeting and direct customers to appropriate register, calling for backup as needed.
- Follow corporate guidelines, keep the area neat, clean, and stocked while meeting fast‑to‑floor expectations.
- Coach associates on fast‑to‑floor return processes to ensure merchandise availability.
- Drive loyalty enrollments, Saks First acquisition, and connected service behaviors for a seamless customer experience.
- Act as the primary Connected Service Coach during peak traffic periods.
- Leverage walkie‑talkie expectations for flexible coverage to support customer needs.
- Resolve customer concerns or call appropriate management support to resolve in the moment.
- Build positive interpersonal relationships and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- Be an inspirational leader who acts as a coach and role model.
- Adapt easily to change and consistently deliver exceptional results.
- Generate and share original ideas, tackling simple and complex problems.
- College associate diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of management experience in comparable volume environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven sales track record and results‑driven approach.
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.
- High standard of customer service and ability to build exceptional relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of the fashion industry.
- Ability to act promptly in routine situations with a clear plan of action.
- Operational competence with radios, POS register, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
The starting salary for this position is between $69,000 and $73,000 annually, depending on market, skills, experience, and qualifications.
This position is also eligible for a bonus.
