Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Certified Touch Up/Rework Operator to join their team. As a Certified Touch Up/Rework Operator, you will be part of the Industrial department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Certified Touch Up/Rework Operator

Location: Milpitas, CA

Pay Range: $26-$27.00/hr

Shift: Day Shift (6:00 AM-2:30 PM) OR Swing Shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM)

What's the Job?
  • Perform hand soldering and touch-up rework for SMT & Through-hole components and jumper wires, following IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Conduct rework based on ECO, process deviation, and MPI instructions using appropriate solder/flux types (Leaded/Lead-Free, no clean process).
  • Install and hand solder all second operation and SMT parts as required per MPI and deviation processes.
  • Be flexible to work on all SMT and/or T/H components as needed to support manufacturing goals.
  • Maintain safety practices, ESD protocols, and proper board handling procedures during all tasks.
What's Needed?
  • 1-2 years of practical manufacturing experience in a related role.
  • Experience using a soldering iron for detailed rework tasks.
  • Proficiency in performing touch-up/rework on SMT components.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings, specifications, BOM, MPI, and component values.
  • Experience working with medical devices or defense/aerospace products is preferred.
