Plant Manager – EV Charger Production
Infypower is a fast‑growing global provider of EV charging solutions, establishing a new production facility in Milpitas, CA. As the Plant Manager, you will lead daily operations, drive quality and efficiency, and build a high‑performing team while working closely with our Shenzhen HQ.
As the core leader of our California subsidiary, you will have full responsibility for the daily operations, team management, quality control, and strategic cost optimization of our EV charger production plant. You will ensure the U.S. plant's strategy aligns with corporate global objectives and maintain close collaboration with our Shenzhen HQ, effectively communicating and making decisions across time zones.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute production plans to meet capacity, delivery timeline, and cost targets.
- Optimize production processes and drive automation upgrades to enhance efficiency and product quality compliant with international standards.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, supply chain management, and raw material procurement to ensure production continuity.
- Manage U.S. warehouse operations, ensuring inventory and accounting accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate shipments based on customer orders and manage import/export customs activities.
- Recruit, train, and manage the production team, fostering a culture of high efficiency, safety, and collaboration.
- Develop employee skill‑building programs to enhance technical capabilities and cross‑cultural communication.
- Implement the HQ's quality management system and quality control tools.
- Ensure full compliance with local U.S. safety and environmental regulations, committed to creating a zero‑accident work environment.
- Adapt to the China‑U.S. time difference to conduct regular video conferences with Shenzhen HQ, reporting production data, risks, and improvement measures.
- Lead technical knowledge transfer, aligning R&D, testing, and production standards.
- Develop the annual budget and reduce production costs through process improvement and resource optimization.
- Participate in HQ's long‑term strategic planning, supporting new technology implementation and capacity expansion.
- Native or fluent business Chinese proficiency; proficient working English communication skills.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours to collaborate with Shenzhen HQ across time zones.
- Willingness to work long‑term in California, U.S., with periodic travel to the Shenzhen HQ.
- 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing; experience in plant setup or startup is highly preferred.
- Solid foundation in power electronics knowledge; an electrician certificate is a strong plus.
- Proficient in Manufacturing & Quality tools and automated production line planning.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP, MES, WMS, TMS, etc., and familiar with their end‑to‑end workflows.
- Experience managing cross‑cultural teams is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ISO
9000/14001 or similar standards is preferred.
