Network Engineer – Contract – Experis – San Jose, CA
Join Experis and apply for the Network Engineer role at a leading technology company. This contract position is onsite in San Jose, CA and is part of the IT Infrastructure Department supporting the Network Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability to new technologies.
What’s the Job?- Assist users with network‑related inquiries and provide technical support for network issues.
- Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including applying software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and respond to alerts.
- Install and configure network hardware and software components, including wireless equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to network configurations and procedures.
- 5–7 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA (preferred).
- Python scripting experience and automation development skills (a plus).
