Building​/Chief Operating Engineer

Responsibilities

• Building Services Knowledge and or construction.

• Commercial and domestic install first fix knowledge

• Facility knowledge understands of fire doors and fire stopping

• Qualifications in Fire door approved checks FDIS or other

• HSE Knowledge

• City & Guilds or equivalent in carpentry and joinery, painting or other

• Manager or supervisory experience of contractors for both remedial service and maintenance

• Certificated assessor for building services activities including confined space, hot works, working at height, desirable hold or held an AP appointment for Hot works, Working at Height, permit to work.

• Computer literate, familiar with MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Project and capable of becoming competent user of bespoke databases

• Experience of having worked in a similar role within a large diverse organization and have a proven track record of success in delivering and monitoring EHS activities

• Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues, with the ability to interpret relevant policy and legislation, and implement this across all working practices.

• Ideally, experience of working in a continuous improvement culture.

• Minimum of 5 yrs experience with a Recognized Apprenticeship and Qualifications to undertake the role in higher Education L2 Minimum

• Read system drawings

• Worked on and issued Permits and Isolations to support the account.

• Regulations and CDM

• Understand the monitoring of utilities and environmental programs

Nice to Have

• CMMS experience (preferably SAP)
