Job DescriptionWe’re seeking a highly motivated Principal Engineer, Product Development Engineering, specializing in Technical Program Management, to lead product application and technical engagement with customers for Sandisk NAND wafer and component business. This role blends deep NAND technical expertise with program management excellence. You will work closely with global customers and internal engineering teams to ensure Sandisk NAND is adopted smoothly and rapidly into customer systems.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact within the engineering organization for customer engagements, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams to address customer technical queries and issues promptly throughout the design, qualification, and mass production phases.
- Provide clear, accurate, and customer-sensitive responses to technical questions by collecting and sanitizing information from internal engineering teams.
- Review and refine customer-facing technical documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and appropriate messaging.
- Ensure San Disk NAND features and specifications are fully aligned with customer system requirements, and identify the most suitable NAND features and component configurations to meet their design objectives.
- Lead specification closure activities between customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring mutual understanding and timely alignment.
- Maintain communication portals with accurate and timely information.
- Support business and account teams in customer technical meetings, providing engineering expertise and influencing technical decisions.
- Deliver regular technical training sessions to FAEs, marketing, and other internal teams on NAND usage, specifications, application notes, and qualification processes.
- BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of industry experience in NAND flash memory, storage products, or semiconductor technologies.
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience in NAND flash memory engineering.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional team work and drive complex technical issues to resolution.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance engineering details, customer sensitivities, and business objectives.
- Strong familiarity with general NAND flash memory technology, including specifications, features, toggle mode interface protocols, cell reliability, qualification, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in NAND application engineering or technical program management is a plus.
- Direct experience supporting OEMs, hyperscalers, or system integrators on NAND adoption, qualification, and productization is a plus.
