Preschool Substitute Teachers enjoy working with a wide variety of students and implementing an array of teaching methods and techniques. As a substitute, you will support the campus by implementing lesson plans, managing the classroom, and monitoring students.

• Cover classroom duties as needed.
• Maintain the orderly arrangement, appearance, and décor of the classroom.
• Develop relationships with other school staff.
• Treat all students with kindness and respect.

• Completed 12‑semester or 18‑quarter early childhood education units covering general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum or a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: prior teaching experience with preschool/pre‑K students.

Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, reaching, kneeling, rising, twisting, listening, reading, writing, speaking English, and occasionally carrying or lifting items.
