Procurement Specialist Chennai India

Overview

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support day-to-day procurement operations for a global organization. This role focuses on purchase order processing, vendor data management, and coordination with regional procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely execution.

• Create and process purchase orders in SAP
• Track and update ETAs to support project timelines
• Maintain vendor and business partner records in accordance with internal controls
• Process sales returns, goods returns, and related transactions
• Support procurement job closeout activities and documentation accuracy
• Provide backup support to buyers across regions
• Maintain and update part master data, including pricing
• Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned

• Strong Excel skills (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables; macros a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• 2–3 years of procurement or related experience
• ERP experience (SAP Business One, Net Suite preferred)
• SQL familiarity is a plus
• Experience supporting global teams preferred
• Additional languages a plus

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Onsite role, 5 days per week
• First 3 months: 4:30 PM – 12:30 AM IST (US-based training)
• Training provided by US team

• No travel required

• Must be authorized to work in India
