Business Development Officer

• Base Annual Salary:
  From $85,000

• Identify potential commercial clients through market research, industry networks, referrals, and events.
• Under limited supervision, develops new referral sources and new business prospects through outside calls, direct mail and sales presentations.
• Encouraging new and existing clients by creating and improving proposals
• Actively cross-sells additional business products such as loans and cash management products.
• Establishing relationships with business brokers, loan brokers, CPAs, real estate agents and other referral sources to market SBA loans.
• Work with team leader to structure loan.
• Assist in credit analysis and underwriting process.
• Ability to understand credit risk.
• Work with Closing Department on getting loans booked and closed.
• Work with SBA servicing in obtaining financial updates from borrowers.
• Assist Team Leader in training internal staff bank wide.
• Participate in community affairs to enhance the bank's CRA activities and to improve bank's image.
• Accountable for developing strong business community relations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor Degree preferrably in Business , Finance, or Economics
• Years of
  
  Experience:
  
  At least 3 – 5 years of experience in business
• Skills/Ability:
  Ability to effectively research new markets, Strong negotiation skills.
