Tax Preparer

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Tax Associate to join our team in Milpitas, California. In this long-term contract role, you will assist individuals and businesses with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance and accuracy. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients while enhancing your expertise in tax-related processes.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary financial information for tax preparation.

- Provide guidance and advice to clients throughout the tax preparation process.

- Prepare individual and business tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Review completed tax returns with clients to address any questions and ensure clarity.

- Utilize tax software to streamline and manage tax filing tasks.

- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Collaborate with team members on various tasks and projects as required.

- Assist in learning and adapting to new responsibilities or tools as needed.

Requirements - At least one year of prior experience as a tax preparer is required.

- Bachelor's degree or certification in Accounting is necessary.

- Familiarity with Drake Software is a strong advantage.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

- Ability to learn and take on new tasks with enthusiasm.

- Strong knowledge of individual and business tax preparation processes.

- Experience with tax software, such as Lacerte, is preferred.
