Regal Industrial Corp is a leading provider of industrial coating and surface-preparation services for the structural steel, bridge, marine, and heavy-civil infrastructure markets. Our Millville NJ facility specializes in the abrasive blasting, metallizing, fireproofing, and multi-coat protective‑coating systems for large structural components including girders, trusses, sheet piling, H‑piles, and heavy fabricated assemblies.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee coating and finishing projects from contract award through final delivery.
Position SummaryThe Project Manager will be responsible for managing industrial‑coating projects involving structural steel and heavy fabricated components. This role requires coordination between customers, estimators, shop personnel, inspectors, and logistics providers to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable coating specifications (e.g., SSPC/NACE).
Key Responsibilities- Manage awarded projects from kickoff through completion
- Review and interpret customer specifications and coating systems
- (e.g., SSPC-SP 6, SP 10, SP 17, metallizing systems, epoxy/urethane multi‑coat systems)
- Coordinate production schedules with shop supervision and operations
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
- Interface with customers, inspectors, and third‑party QA/QC representatives
- Prepare submittals, work plans, ITPs, and production documentation
- Monitor surface‑prep and coating operations for specification compliance
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics of large structural steel components
- Manage change orders and maintain accurate project cost tracking
- Support quality‑control documentation including DFT readings, environmental logs, and inspection reports
- Participate in project close‑out and final documentation turnover
- 5 –7+ years of Project Management experience in:
- Bridge or marine construction
- Heavy civil or infrastructure projects
- Strong familiarity with protective‑coating standards:
- Epoxy, polyurethane, and zinc‑rich coating systems
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Experience coordinating production in a shop environment preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and job‑cost tracking systems
