Overview
Provide operations support to various areas of Business Banking and Consumer Collections. Perform data entry, system maintenance, and monetary transactions. Complete requests within authority level.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform data-entry of various types of information, and from multiple sources (e.g., invoices, settlements); receive and verify accuracy of documents (e.g., titles).
- Prepare Reaffirmation Agreements with supporting documents and mail to attorneys.
- Prepare and submit Proof of Claims (POC’s) to the court, including supporting documents.
- Creates payment coupons and G/L tickets from trustee disbursements, arranging over payments to trustee.
- Review and verify “Summons and Complaint” from attorneys:
Obtain signature from Workout or Liaison and send back to attorney. - Prepare ad hoc reports from systems, at management’s request and reconcile/correct as needed.
- Prepare attorney referrals and assign to designated attorney.
- Assigns matter number to case in preparation for billing/payment. Approve payment.
- Contact outside vendors (e.g., insurance companies) to gather and/or provide information on accounts.
- Prepare, send and track claim forms.
- Monitor and submit requests to change the status of accounts.
- Perform skip tracing.
- Prepare ticket work to allocate funds received, to ensure payment of expenses.
- Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
This position has potential customer contact or direct contact with Attorneys or Trustee, customers or other external vendors; mostly email correspondence with attorneys and/or other external vendors.
Education and Experience RequiredA combined 2 years’ higher education and/or work experience, with a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Proficient PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
Education and Experience PreferredBachelor’s degree.
Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.68 - $31.14 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
