Wastewater Operator; Level A​/III

The Wastewater Operator (Level A / Level III) is responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring regulatory compliance of the wastewater treatment system. This role supports environmental compliance initiatives, oversees monitoring and reporting activities, and performs hands‑on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wastewater equipment. The operator will act in a Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) capacity and support federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

• Assist in controlling and maintaining the overall environmental compliance program for the wastewater treatment system
• Oversee required monitoring, sampling, and regulatory reporting in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems, including pumps and equipment
• Perform process control laboratory work and analyze results
• Maintain accurate compliance and operational records
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE usage, Lockout/Tagout, and Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Respond to system repairs and support preventive maintenance schedules
• Support continuous improvement of wastewater treatment operations

• Associate's Degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent approved coursework
• Minimum 4 years of operating experience in Class II or higher wastewater facilities
• Minimum 2 years serving in a Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) role
• Level III Wastewater License (Level A or Master License preferred)

• Wastewater Operator License (Level III or higher)
• Valid Driver's License
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment operations and regulatory compliance
• Ability to rebuild and maintain pumps and wastewater equipment
• Strong documentation and reporting skills

• Holds a Level A or Master Wastewater License
• Has 2+ years of Direct Responsible Charge experience
• Has 4+ years of Class II or higher wastewater facility experience
• Open to working 2nd or 3rd shift
• Strong safety mindset and compliance‑driven approach
