Training Specialist
Location:
In-office, Millsboro, DE
Salary:
Starting at $45,000/year
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4 PM (onsite required)
Travel:
Occasional travel to Middletown (mileage reimbursed)
Day-to-Day:
The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and delivering training programs that support field operations. The role involves identifying training needs, selecting appropriate training modalities, and ensuring compliance with licensing standards and organizational requirements. Responsibilities include organizing the training calendar, facilitating Day 1 orientation, Mandt training, physical abilities training, and coordinating LAM training with nursing staff. The position also requires entering Delaware LAM data through state contracts, maintaining organized training documentation, and delivering 3-5 days of training per week.
Collaboration with management, HR, and internal training teams is essential. Travel may be required based on training needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify training needs and develop/implement training programs
Deliver training through classroom, one-on-one, web-based, and teleconferencing modalities
Ensure training programs meet all licensing, regulatory, and organizational standards
Facilitate Day 1 orientation, Mandt training, and physical abilities training
Coordinate with nurses for LAM training and maintain strong nursing partnerships
Enter LAM data into Relias through state contracts
Monitor, evaluate, and document training activities and program effectiveness
Maintain well-organized and detailed training documentation
Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, and program office meetings
Update training materials and curriculum to reflect new regulations and policies
Assist with evaluating trainer performance and identifying development needs
Provide additional training support for new staff as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Three years of related training or instructional experience preferred
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
Excellent communication skills and ability to train using multiple modalities
Physical ability to support training activities
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
