Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This part-time, hybrid position is based in Millersville, Maryland, and requires expertise in financial management and accounting practices. If you are detail-oriented and have experience with month-end processes, this role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your skills.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and update prepaid expense schedules, including calculating and posting monthly expense recognition entries.

- Conduct detailed analyses of the general ledger to identify capitalization and prepaid adjustments.

- Perform accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

- Post accrual reversals and miscellaneous accrual entries for prior months.

- Manage the capitalization of fixed assets and calculate depreciation and amortization.

- Reconcile Ramp card transactions, including initial cleanup and ongoing management.

- Provide support for month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and other financial systems to streamline accounting processes. Requirements - Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.

- Strong understanding of journal entries and debits/credits.

- Experience in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.

- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, catch-up environment post-system implementation.

- Previous experience with Field Boss is a plus.

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills for managing financial data.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
