This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate employer responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant.
Responsibilities- Create daily routines that produce predictable and well‑coordinated kitchen operations at all times.
- Train and coach the kitchen team to ensure quality food, target food cost, and reduce waste from products not meeting Gold Standard.
- Maintain proper product inventory levels through daily, weekly, and monthly inventories and ordering procedures.
- Optimize staffing to keep food production aligned with busy periods; review schedules and ensure the kitchen is staffed both day and night, and new staff are well trained.
- Keep all equipment serviceable and clean; communicate repairs needed, and maintain regular grill maintenance, vat filtration, and monthly boiled outs.
- Maintain an immaculate workspace, following all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Implement and uphold daily food safety checklists; monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures and calibrate grills and fryers routinely.
- Ensure all kitchen staff wear correct, neat, and clean uniforms and keep a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Establish and enforce daily routines for tempering and pulling products, ensuring each product is correctly tempered, thawed, and pulled each day.
This position requires a passionate, mature leader with the ability to lead a kitchen operations team to routinely provide Gold Standard Food, manage inventory, adhere to strict food safety standards, and create a great work environment.
