Tax Specialist

We're currently partnering with a midsized company to help identify a Tax Professional to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to join a financially strong, highly respected organization with a reputation as a top employer.

In this role, you’ll support the tax team with a mix of tax provision, compliance, and financial reporting responsibilities across both GAAP and Statutory accounting.

• Preparing and assisting with the review of federal and state income tax provisions (current and deferred) under GAAP and Statutory accounting
• Supporting quarterly and annual tax disclosures for financial statements
• Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions
• Performing provision-to-return reconciliations and intercompany FIT settlements
• Assisting with tax audits and coordinating documentation with external auditors

• 3–5 years of tax accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
• Experience with tax provision and compliance
• Exposure to insurance industry tax or Statutory accounting is a plus
• CPA or MS in Tax is preferred
