Banking Services Specialist-Personal Banker

We have an opening for a Banking Services Specialist (Personal Banker) for our Millbrae Branch in Millbrae. Ideal candidate will have a successful audit record for managing the daily operations-oriented functions at a retail branch; demonstrated track record in managing teller operations and new accounts, and thorough knowledge of bank compliance rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and overrides to teller lines.
  • Assist in training Universal Banking Representatives in operational duties.
  • Open new accounts with customers, cross-sell and respond to inquiries about account types and services.
  • Submit new accounts for review in a timely manner and follow up on any required corrections.
  • Perform maintenance on customer accounts and follow bank procedures on record-keeping for new accounts.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely manner, referring to internal resources as necessary.
  • Coordinate with ABM to meet branch goals by promoting bank products and services to customers.
  • Assist ABM in ensuring the branch maintains maximum operational efficiency and security, and compliance with all bank policies and procedures along with applicable laws and banking regulations.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in keeping branch security system in good working order and update staff about security procedures and policies, including maintaining the proper levels of working cash and cash reserves.
  • Actively work with customers to understand each customer’s normal account activity.
  • Cross-sell Bank’s products and services.
  • Assist as a backup to the ABM in their absence.
Requirements
  • Requires 2 years college level courses or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in all phases of retail bank operations.
  • Minimum 1 year New Account experience.
  • Notary Public designation.

Bilingual in Chinese preferred.

The candidate will be subject to investigation through credit checks, reference checks, background checks and fingerprinting checks performed at the time permissible under relevant law.
