HELE Customer Service Associate

Salary Range: $17.15 - $21.15 Hourly

Shift differential eligibility: $3.00

• Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump
• Accurately ring up all sales on POS system; comply with cash handling procedures including other payment types for products sold
• Responsible for all cash and other forms of tender (e.g., coupons)
• Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise; assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits
• Adopt, comply with, and participate in all safety programs and trainings; attend mandatory job-related meetings/trainings as needed
• Perform cleaning duties necessary to maintain site cleanliness inside and out; assist with identifying equipment problems and report as needed
• Be a positive team-player; work cohesively with other employees and contribute to a positive work environment
• Perform all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work flexible hours and attend job-related meetings and other duties as assigned

• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
• Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to read numbers and operate POS systems
• Ability to communicate information clearly and accurately
• Ability to follow safety procedures and respond to safety alarms
• Frequent reaching, gripping, wrist movement, and dexterity required for stocking, operating POS, and maintaining store grounds
• Frequent squatting and kneeling for stocking and replenishment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 20 pounds
• Ability to climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials

Note:

There may be exposure to gas fumes and solvents, and occasional noise.

• To meet the basic qualifications, you must be at least 21 years of age or older and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred
• Ability to perform basic math accurately
• Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing), including proficient telephone skills
• Ability to work various shifts and arrive on time
• Ability to operate equipment, tools and materials as required
• Ability to perform essential duties under the described conditions
