Summary/Objective
The truck driver position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the Fleet Department.
Essential FunctionsThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work fluctuate Monday through Saturday, 40 or more hours per week.
TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day.
