Materials Handling Assistant

Our client, an innovative organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a Materials Handling Assistant to join their team. As a Materials Handling Assistant, you will be part of the Materials Handling department supporting shipping, receiving, inventory management, and operational support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Shift:
** 1st shift, 40 hours per week

** 7 am to 6 pm. Schedule will be provided based on business needs.*
* ** What's the Job?*
* + Assist with international and domestic shipping, including preparing documents, packaging, and scheduling pickups

+ Perform visual inspections of incoming deliveries and note any damages or discrepancies

+ Support inventory management through cycle counts, maintaining consumables, and managing stock levels

+ Assist with kitting, pulling items based on demand and BOM, and supporting outplant packaging and shipping

+ Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure smooth daily operations

** What's Needed?*
* + High School diploma or GED required

+ 1-3 years of experience in materials management or related field

+ Recent forklift experience preferred

+ Proficiency with UPS & FEDEX systems and Microsoft Office Suite

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate to heavy lifting using pallet jacks
