The Cash Application team is responsible for correlating and applying customer payments to open invoices, requesting payment remittances as needed, and replying to emails in the Cash Application inbox. The Cash Application Coordinator is primarily responsible for the cash application processes but should have a working understanding of other Cash Operations processes to be able to work cross-functionally within the team.

- Apply customer payments by matching cash, checks, ACH/wire and credit card transactions utilizing cash application software
- Correlate payment remittances accurately to payments and request remittances as needed
- Ensure daily productivity goals and established service levels are met
- Provide outstanding customer service to the sales floor as well as other internal/external customers with professional and timely communication
- Respond to and work on emails in the Cash Application inbox
- Properly notate cash put on account (unapplied cash), Other AR and miscellaneous payments
- Proactively communicate potential issues by addressing them early with leadership
- Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities
- Develop a working knowledge of cash applications and how it impacts unapplied cash, broker commission and cash flow
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in banking, accounts receivable or payment processing preferred
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to manage time constraints and effectively manage deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with great attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel
- Strong organizational skills
