Job Description

Oversee and analyze the regulatory requirements for Sustainability that affect applicable Cintas activities. Assist the training of all applicable partners and suppliers with proper and functional engagement of Sustainability. Contributes to the development of effective Compliance Programs. Responsible for examining, monitoring, and providing evaluation of all relevant legal and regulatory requirements/changes, and will advise Legal Team and Director of Internal Audits on maintaining such.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and interpret sustainability-related regulations, industry standards, and emerging legislation.
  • Ensure company operations comply with environmental and sustainability requirements (e.g., waste management, carbon reporting, renewable energy standards).
  • Develop and maintain sustainability compliance policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare accurate compliance reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain detailed records of sustainability initiatives, certifications, and compliance activities.
  • Deliver training sessions to partners and suppliers on sustainability compliance requirements.
  • Promote a culture of environmental responsibility and ethical practices across the organization.
  • Partner with Engineering, Legal, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure compliance across the enterprise.
  • Support sustainability projects and initiatives that reduce environmental impact and improve ESG performance.
Skills / Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Compliance, or related field.
  • Certified Compliance Auditor (IRCA).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in compliance, sustainability, or regulatory affairs.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks, ISO standards, and environmental regulations.
