Service Technician

Biss Nuss has been serving the water and wastewater industry for more than 35 years. The Service Technician role will support Biss Nuss and the related product and service lines (municipal/industrial equipment). This person provides customers with technical assistance, consulting services, quoting, training, and acts as a liaison between customers and the Company sales team.

This position will cover the Ohio, Western PA, and West Virginia territory and requires travel to customers' locations.

• Plan and coordinate activities concerned with investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems.
• Represent the Company in the support of product startup, warranty service and billable repair.
• Analyze, review, and inspect findings to determine source of problem and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective actions.
• Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
• Provide start‑up/commissioning services or other training to customers.
• Quote jobs when applicable.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service on products and perform adjustments.
• Assist management in sales, field service and warranty issues.
• Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday; hours may vary based on customer requirements.

• 2+ years of related field technician experience.
• Strong technical background, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics knowledge.
• Professional communication skills to discuss technical issues with customers of varying technical expertise.
• Ability to document all processes related to start-ups, troubleshooting, and repairs for internal and/or external review.
• Proven ability to initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and accuracy; strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel throughout Western PA, Ohio, and West Virginia.
• Valid driver's license.
