Yard Mechanic – Small Engine Repair
Location: Ottsville, Pennsylvania
Compensation: $25 to $35 per hour | Approximately $70,000 to $85,000 annually
Seeking a skilled and experienced Small Engine and Preventive Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at a central yard facility and occasionally on job sites as needed. This role requires hands on experience with small engines, general maintenance practices, and the ability to assist or lead other mechanics in daily operations. Candidates should be comfortable with diagnostics, routine service, and minor repairs on a variety of small equipment and light machinery.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant mechanical experience
Valid driver's license
Welding and fabrication skills
Experience with small engines and portable equipment (e.g., generators, compressors, pumps)
Familiarity with diesel engine maintenance and repairs
Preventive maintenance experience across various engine types and equipment
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Hands on experience operating and maintaining small construction equipment
Knowledge of crane or lift equipment maintenance (a plus)
PA State Inspection License (preferred)
Class B or Class A CDL (preferred)
Welding certifications or fabrication background (a plus)
Certification or experience with equipment safety inspections (a plus)
