Our Summer Internship ExperienceMarmon Utility is hiring talented and innovative interns to build their futures and forge a meaningful career with us. You will help improve the quality of life for millions of people by engineering solutions to many of the world’s greatest needs. Through ownership of real‑world assignments, strong coaching, mentorship, and networking with senior leaders and peers across the organization, you’ll gain substantial personal and professional development.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support plant safety objectives together with safety improvements.
- Drive process improvements with support from Operations and Engineering where needed.
- Use data and statistics to make decisions.
- Troubleshoot day‑to‑day processes, working toward root causes and elimination.
- Own waste elimination projects.
- Document processes via Marmon Utility’s standard process sheet.
- Participate in LEAN Kaizen events for continuous improvement efforts.
- Support day‑to‑day operations with assigned problem solving and improvements.
- Provide process support for capital projects, implementation of new CMMS and live monitoring software.
- Bachelor’s degree in progress in Plastics, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent science/math‑based degree.
- Previous work experience; open to applicants with non‑engineering backgrounds.
- Completed at least four semesters toward the degree.
- Ability to work in the U.S. indefinitely and without restrictions.
- Excellent work ethic, ability to work independently, and proactive attitude.
- Drive to learn and willingness to take on responsibility.
- The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August.
- Full time, 40 hours per week.
- Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and business needs.
- This is a paid internship.
