OverviewADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - ASSESSING
The Town of Milford is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant for our Assessing Department. This is a part-time position requiring the completion of moderately complex work assisting the Assessor in handling the daily office functions and related responsibilities. Some office experience is preferred. Training in the specific requirements pertaining to the Assessing environment will be provided for the successful candidate.
- Familiarity with MS Office Word and Excel is essential, along with the ability to adapt to industry specific software and software updates.
- Ability to interact with Town staff and the general public on a daily basis.
- Remain courteous under stress; prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and work with limited supervision.
- Exercise a high degree of judgment and tact.
- The ideal candidate must be comfortable in an office setting.
- Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma plus at least 6 months to one year of progressively-responsible administrative assistant experience.
- A background involving real estate sales, mortgage lending, appraisal/assessing or other related field is considered a plus.
We are seeking an individual to fill this part-time position of 24 hours/week. Scheduled hours will remain consistent, but the initial schedule creation does offer flexibility. There may be opportunity for increased hours with increased responsibility.
BenefitsThis position includes pro-rated vacation, personal, holiday and sick time.
WagesWages commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Position is a Grade 13 on the Town's wage scale.
