Position: Asphalt Paving Project Manager / Estimator
We are hiring an experienced Asphalt Project Manager / Estimator to oversee paving and asphalt maintenance projects throughout Milford, MI. This full-time position blends preconstruction estimating responsibilities with active field management to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

The ideal candidate has a background in asphalt paving, roadway construction, or site development and is comfortable balancing office-based estimating with hands-on field coordination. This role plays a critical part in maintaining project schedules, managing crews, and delivering high-quality results for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee asphalt paving, resurfacing, and repair projects from bid award through final completion
• Develop accurate cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, trucking, and material suppliers
• Monitor job costs, budgets, schedules, and change orders
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure safety compliance and quality standards
• Maintain strong communication with clients regarding timelines and expectations
• Address field issues proactively to keep projects on track
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and industry safety regulations

Requirements

• Experience in asphalt paving, roadway construction, or related heavy civil work
• Strong estimating and cost-control background
• Working knowledge of paving operations, production rates, and materials
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Effective leadership and client communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of supervising field personnel
