Small privately owned company looking for a QC Technician to join their growing company. If you are local to the area and have some experience in a manufacturing setting, this could be a great fit for you!
Duties- Quality Assurance responsibilities include performing routine QC tests as well as auditing quality documentation and performing data entry.
- Generation and reporting of quality data in CoA and CoC formats for customer distribution.
- First response to technical issues originating in production or with customers.
- Responsibility to identify root cause and corrective action to include:
- Routine maintenance of testing equipment including, but not limited to, periodic calibrations.
- Product development support at the direction of Chemist(s) including:
- Experimental wet sample preparation and testing.
- Test report authoring / data archiving including generation of product technical documentation for customer distribution.
- Participates in and contributes to company’s Value Analysis in Operations (VAIO) value engineering program.
- Exercises competence in communicating verbally written form with both production and office personnel.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. at a time (5-gallon pail).
- Contributes to a culture of safety, following protocols throughout the organization, and other internal policy / procedures.
- Maintain working knowledge of company’s ISO 9001 QMS policies and procedures along with ISO program leadership responsibilities.
- SDS generation and other regulatory technical administration responsibilities as needed.
- Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Salary: $50,000 - $58,000

Technical Qualifications- B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related.
- Relevant industry experience a plus but entry level applicants will be considered.
- Experience using laboratory instrumentation such that will measure viscosity, gloss, spectrophotometry, density, percentage of solids, pH, and so on
- Test data gathering, organizing, and reporting experience.
- Microsoft Office competence.
