Primary Worksite: 1052 Boston Post Rd, Milford CT 06460

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to handle routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our buildings, grounds, and equipment across all five of our locations:
Genesis of Milford, Key Hyundai of Milford, Key Hyundai of Manchester, Middletown Chevrolet, and Byrider Meriden. This role requires a hands‑on individual who can troubleshoot and resolve a variety of facility‑related issues to help maintain a safe, clean, and properly functioning environment year‑round.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
  • Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring repairs
  • Conduct snow and ice removal from sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and other designated areas to maintain safe access during winter conditions
  • Apply ice melt or salt and monitor conditions during and after snow events
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in general maintenance or a related field
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification
  • Experience in commercial or residential property maintenance
Work Environment
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments
  • May require evenings, weekends, or on‑call availability
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
