All about On Demand:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule. When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

You are expected to engage actively by picking up and working shifts at least every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm interest in shifts  you do not respond, employment may be terminated. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be administratively terminated.

Communication and ability to work when business demands it most are critical to success in this role. After an offer, you may be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule. The myTime app is used to pick shifts you desire to work.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and assist with products and services.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Thank guests and welcome them to Target.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed. Be familiar with fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
• Explain how to use Wallet and other Target App features.
• Handle returns following policies, and escalate to leaders as needed to resolve guest issues.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience following Target policies.
• Deliver accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace; stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders, and related duties with compliance responsibilities (including adult beverage laws where applicable).
• Support Cash Office processes as needed.
• Other duties based on business needs.

• Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; frequently lift up to 10 pounds.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; you must work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions for Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
