Position: Veterinarian PT or FT

Snowflake Pet Center is a family-owned and operated veterinary hospital located in Milford, CT, dedicated to providing exceptional care for small animals since 1969. Our services include routine wellness visits, illness-related treatments, surgical procedures, dental care, boarding, and grooming in a friendly and clean environment. We are trusted by pet owners who return for our compassionate care and welcoming atmosphere. Snowflake Pet Center is open five days a week for veterinary services, six days a week for grooming, and seven days a week for boarding services.

Role Description

This part-time or full-time Veterinarian role is based on-site at Snowflake Pet Center in Milford, CT. The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care, including conducting physical examinations, diagnosing, prescribing treatment plans, and performing surgical and dental procedures. They will also communicate with pet owners about their pets  health, ensure excellent client education, and supervise the safe handling and administration of medications to animals.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • You hold (or are eligible for) a Veterinary State License in Connecticut
  • Excellent communication and client education abilities
  • Compassionate approach to animal care with attention to detail in medical record documentation
  • Experience with small animal care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and provide leadership when necessary
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for both animals and team members

We believe in a healthy work-life balance and offer a competitive, negotiable salary based on experience ($75,000-$145,000).

  • Part-time:
    Flexible 2 or 3-day work week | Full-time: 5-day work week
  • No overnights, no on-call, and no weekends
  • DEA and State Licensing fees covered
  • AVMA, CVMA, and VIN membership fees covered
