Provides exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. Cultivates a patient‑centric environment that focuses on the whole individual, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and functional needs.
A call Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is part of a core team that provides timely anesthetic and emergency care in a 24/7 model. The position is full‑time and distinct from non‑call CRNAs, with a flexible, non‑patterned schedule and in‑house call responsibilities, including off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule Requirements:
Availability to work off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of the in‑house call rotation. Willingness to respond to emergency calls and provide anesthesia services within the hospital setting. Required to give 90‑day notice when transitioning or resigning from the call team.

- Implement accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
- Professional Skill
- Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, continuously monitoring vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.

- Ensure appropriate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements; protect information of all forms from unauthorized access or disclosure.

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist – Completion of a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)–Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs.
• Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Preferred clinical experience as a CRNA in the given specialty/service line, though none required.
• APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process.
• Evidence of current competence to practice via reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process for eligibility.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (AANA Certification)
