Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and rebuilds a variety of CNC manufacturing equipment.

• Installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions, repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling of machine assemblies; and the ability to perform complex diagnosis and repair of all electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. Including CNC machines and PLC controlled equipment.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with a “hands on” approach to problem solving.
• Knowledge of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives) and PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Must be able to read Electrical, Hydraulic, and Mechanical drawings.
• Routinely collaborates with other trades/job classifications and Operations; may lead repair project.
• Installs, repairs and maintains electrical wiring, circuitry, control panels, fixtures, motors, and equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code.
• Performs systematic electrical and electronic trouble‑shooting.
• Able to write preliminary drafts of electrical schematics in prep for final drafting.
• Orders parts and supplies.
• Estimate labor hours and materials for specific jobs.
• Will be involved in any number of facilities maintenance activities including installation of new equipment, facility repairs, cleaning, snow removal, painting, etc.
• Follows established company directives, policies, quality documents and manufacturing instructions.

• Valid State of Connecticut E2 license preferred;
  Associates Degree or Certification in applicable discipline or relative Military experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining equipment.
• Experienced with CNC equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Able to read and understand all diagrams and schematics, and engineering print(s) of: mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Able to interpret machine alarms, and can diagnose if the problem is with the program, machinery, or the operator.
• Operate hoists and other lifting equipment, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Experience with PLC controls, ladder logic, microprocessor‑based equipment, motor controls, relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, and circuits are preferred.

• Safely lift 35lbs.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to kneel, sit or lay on the ground to perform tasks as necessary.
