Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus, a part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking a full-time Evening Hospitalist (Internal Medicine) to join its inpatient team. This position follows a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive, academic environment while maintaining a balanced lifestyle through the block schedule.

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care, manage admissions, and support continuity of care in collaboration with the daytime and overnight teams.
• Lead care coordination with interdisciplinary teams – nursing staff, consultants, case managers, and ancillary services – for optimal outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evaluate outcomes, and help implement process improvements in inpatient medicine.
• Serve as a professional leader and role model, participating in hospital committees, promoting best practices, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

• D. or D.O., with completion of an ACGME – accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
• Board‑Eligible or Board‑Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Must secure a Connecticut medical license, Controlled Substance Registration, and DEA certification.
• Must obtain attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.

• Two (2) years caring for medicine inpatients as resident and/or attending physician.

• Hold a valid Connecticut medical license.
• Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration.
• Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
