MiTek Truss Designer (Full-Time | On-Site)

I’m working with a strong, well-established component manufacturer that is ready to add a high-level Truss Designer to its team.

This is not an entry-level drafting role. This is for someone who understands production, code compliance, timelines, and how design decisions impact the plant floor and the jobsite.

If you take pride in clean layouts, accurate placements, and protecting margins through smart design, keep reading.

• Designing accurate roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software

• Producing complete Truss Placement Plans and engineered design drawings

• Reviewing architectural and structural plans and catching issues before they become problems

• Working directly with sales, production, architects, engineers, and field teams

• Assisting with repairs, field fixes, and value-engineered solutions

• Ensuring all designs meet building codes, safety standards, and project specs

• Supporting a fast-paced production environment where deadlines matter

This team values precision, accountability, and collaboration. They move quickly — and expect the same from their designers.

• 3–5+ years of truss design experience

• Strong proficiency in MiTek (required — non-negotiable)

• Solid understanding of construction methods and engineered wood products

• Ability to confidently read and interpret blueprints

• Strong communication skills — you’ll interact with multiple stakeholders

• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
