Technician - Local

Overview

Small privately owned company looking for a technician to join their growing team. If you are local to the area and have some experience in a manufacturing setting with color testing, this could be a great fit for you.

• Produce, inspect, pack & label, according to Batch Tickets
• Includes batching and processing of raw materials into finished goods
• Follow clearly prescribed routine procedures and established methods for production of various coatings and adhesives
• Move materials as necessary in the performance of the job
• Determine color adjustments and coordinate with QC use of color spectrometer
• Perform various other QC tests on finished goods for approval to finish batch work
• Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor
• Report raw material discrepancies to applicable staff
• Ensure work area and equipment is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Follow prescribed safety rules, regulations and company policies regarding PPE
• Follow General Safety and Housekeeping Procedures
• Contributes to a culture of safety, following protocols throughout the organization, and other internal policy / procedures
• Maintain working knowledge of company’s ISO 9001 policies and procedures

Technical Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Entry level candidates are given consideration but some form of manufacturing experience is preferred
• Basic math skills competence
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-60 lbs.
• Ability to use drum carts, dolleys, pallet jacks, etc.
