Direct Support Professional 1:1 (PT) Direct Support Professional (Weekdays) – Fluency in American Sign Language

COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES For the DEAF, Inc.

Direct Support Professional.

• Part-Time Regular.
• 1:1 Support 30 hours/week (includes Benefits).

A supportive, “hands‑on” person who assists Deaf Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Includes providing 1:1 support most of the time, but can be up to 1:4. Responsibilities for assisting in the evening routine including personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, and transporting to medical appointments/activities, and job sites. Other responsibilities as identified in the annual Person‑Centered Plan (PCP) meeting.

• Must be a team player that has a positive attitude and shows respect at all times.
• Patience is required.
• Annual Physical and Flu vaccine required.

• High School Diploma.
• Relevant experience is a plus.
• Valid MD Driver’s License with 2 points or less.
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).

• Work Hours:
  
  Monday thru Friday 5p-11p, in the Baltimore area.

Part-Time Regular.

Monday to Friday.

High school or equivalent. (Required).

Caregiving: 1 year. (Preferred).

Fluent in American Sign Language. (Required).

Driver's License. (Required).
