We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time practice nurse to join our busy team. The successful applicant will preferably already have practice nurse experience, although this is not essential, as training will be given. The role will include general treatment room duties, and experience in administering baby immunisations and cervical smear taking would be advantageous. The hours and shift pattern will be flexible to suit the practice's needs.
Mainduties of the job
The main duties of the role will include:

- Practice independently in accordance with the NMC code of conduct
- Cervical Screening
- Removal of sutures
- Immunisations to include childhood /flu vaccine/ covid vaccines and routine immunisations
- Women's Health
- Venepuncture
- ECG's
- Chaperoning
- Assist GPs with Minor Surgery and family planning

We are a friendly, supportive GP practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care to our community. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our clinical team.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will provide a full range of nursing services to patients, working as part of the multi-disciplinary team. The role will include health promotion and treatment room duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence‑based nursing care, including wound care, dressings, immunisations, and cervical smears.
- Women's Health
- Support the management of long‑term conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
- Participate in health screening and health promotion activities.
- Support QAIF targets and practice initiatives.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with practice protocols.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, other nurses, and administrative staff.
- Stock control and ordering.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (NMC Pin required).
- Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Flexible working pattern to suit the needs of both parties.

- Experience working within a nursing team. Experience in dealing with the public/patients and competency in basic nursing duties.
- Experience as working as a practice nurse. Experience of primary care.. Experience in Diabetes, wound care and immunisations.
