Manufacturing Engineer
Great Company that is expanding its machining and production capabilities and is seeking a CNC Operator and Programmer with design experience and a passion to grow. This person will help advance our CNC programming, streamline manufacturing processes, and support the production of the company. We can train the right candidate on our internal procedures, but strong CNC and technical engineering skills are required from day one.
This location is close to Jackson, TN. Position growth and increased earning are available to the successful candidate who fits the hard work, friendly, no drama culture.
- Create detailed part drawings using AutoCAD (or similar CAD software).
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs to support efficient production.
- Design and specify tooling, tool holders, and related machining components.
- Work with production leadership to forecast raw material needs based on upcoming workloads and project pipelines.
- Prepare and assist with customer quotes, ensuring technical accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Diagnose customer issues, evaluate technical requirements, and provide engineered solutions.
- Collaborate with shop floor teams to eliminate unnecessary manual steps by leveraging new machining and programming capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cycle time, material waste, and processing steps.
- Manages, motivates, and develops plant staff, promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Maintains adherence to ISO quality standards and enforces strict quality control measures.
- Ensures plant operations meet all applicable safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA).
- Oversees corrective actions for quality or safety non‑conformances.
- Proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD platforms.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining operations, and G‑code fundamentals.
- Experience with tooling selection, tool‑holder design, and machining best practices.
- Ability to forecast materials and understand supply needs for machining operations.
- Experience preparing quotes or cost estimates for machined components.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, especially in response to customer technical challenges.
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and shop‑floor processes.
- Prior experience in bearing manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to lead by example and promote hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day operations.
