We are helping our client, a global manufacturer of plastic additives, compounds, and color master batches, expand its commercial presence in Italy. The company operates internationally and serves thousands of industrial customers across packaging, automotive, agriculture, construction, electronics, and consumer applications.

About the Role
In this role, you will take ownership of developing and growing the color and masterbatch business across Northern Italy. This is a field-based individual contributor position to strengthen focus on the color product family.
The role combines new business development with key account expansion and requires high customer proximity, long-term relationship building, and the ability to manage complex and competitive sales cycles. You will work closely with local management and global product teams while operating with a high level of autonomy in the territory.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow the color and masterbatch business in Northern Italy.
· Acquire new customers within medium to large industrial plastics manufacturers.
· Expand share of wallet within assigned and newly developed accounts.
· Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing and ramp-up.
· Convert competitive accounts and position customized solutions where required.
· Maintain long-term partnerships after account acquisition.
· Conduct frequent customer visits and manage relationships primarily in the field.
· Build and maintain accurate forecasts, budgets, and territory business plans.
· Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and pricing dynamics.
· Report sales activities, pipeline, and performance through CRM and internal tools.
· Coordinate closely with product management and regional leadership.
Requirements:
· MUST: 5+ years of experience in B2B sales within the plastics or polymer value chain.
· MUST:
Proven experience selling colors, master batches, additives, compounds, polymers, resins, or pigments.
· MUST:
Experience managing long sales cycles with industrial manufacturing customers.
· MUST:
Fluency in Italian and English.
· Strong understanding of customer production processes and technical requirements.
· Ability to sell solutions rather than standardized products.
· Experience with CRM systems and structured pipeline management.
· Based in Northern Italy with willingness to travel extensively across the region.
· Technical degree in chemistry, polymer engineering, materials science, or similar.
· Background in masterbatch, additives, or specialty chemicals manufacturing.
