ResponsibilitiesThe Security and Training Specialist is a hybrid position responsible for industrial security as well as company wide trainings and initiatives. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Training - Designs, implements and evaluates programs to improve employee skills and organizational performance, assessing needs, creating materials, delivering training, and tracking effectiveness, requiring strong communication, organization and instructional design skills to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Security – Protects company/government assets by managing personnel security (clearances, access) physical security and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. Conducts security related trainings, audits, risk assessments and supporting requirements for classified projects.
Duties and Responsibilities- Identify training gaps through surveys, interviews and performance data
- Develop curriculum learning modules and materials
- Facilitate training via e-learning or workshops
- Measure training impact on performance
- Manage logistics scheduling and technology for learning programs
- Process security clearances, manage access, record keeping
- Manage security databases, processing forms (SF86) maintaining documentation (SOPs) and coordinating with external agencies
- Manage badges for remote employees

- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, required
- At least 5 years of directly related experience
- Ability to travel as necessary (10% or less)
