SUMMARYThis position is responsible for gathering and delivering warehouse materials including paper goods, custodial products, supplies, and equipment to District sites. During the school year the employee also supports Child Nutrition operations by transporting and delivering food, beverages, and related supplies to Mid-Del school sites in accordance with food safety and temperature control standards. The position may include picking up surplus materials and transferring items between sites and the warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform each essential duty
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with acceptable driving
- Ability to meet District and state requirements for operating District
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic food safety and handling
- Perform warehouse operations and become familiar with all District
- Safely operate hand-trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and delivery
- Receive, pull, stage, and deliver warehouse and Child Nutrition
- Transport food, beverages, and related Child Nutrition supplies while maintaining required food safety and temperature
- Follow all federal, state, and local food safety regulations, including proper sanitation and handling
- Load, secure, and unload materials and food products to prevent damage or
- Assist in inventory control, including rotation of stock and verification of delivery
- Maintain delivery logs, temperature records (as required), mileage documentation, and report vehicle maintenance
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.
