Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team at Cascades at Riverwalk in Midvale, Utah
.
In this role, you'll help residents regain the skills needed for daily independence following illness, injury, or hospitalization. Many of the patients you'll work with are navigating important life transitions, and your work will play a meaningful role in helping them return to safe and functional living.

What the Role Looks LikeAs a COTA, you'll work closely with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to deliver therapy that focuses on functional recovery and quality of life.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Carrying out treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Helping residents improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Providing functional task training and adaptive strategies for everyday activities
- Assisting patients with transfers, mobility, and safety awareness
- Monitoring patient progress and documenting treatment sessions
- Communicating regularly with the supervising OT regarding patient progress
- Collaborating with PT, speech therapy, nursing, and facility staff to support patient recovery
Your work will directly support residents as they regain confidence and independence in their daily routines.
